Walking by Faith
““Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it. For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.” (Matthew 24:23-24 WEB)
The devil works with the body and soul realms—things that can be felt, seen, heard, and thought.
He deceives even through demonic signs and wonders. For example, using occult or pagan methods to do supernatural healing, which is essentially just asking the demon causing the sickness to step aside and let it appear like ‘a god’ healed the person. The endgame is to mislead people so that their spirits which are dead in sin will descend to Hell upon death.
“while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18 WEB)
While the devil works with the things that are seen (experienced in the body and soul realms), God works mostly in the invisible spirit realm. We experience Him through faith.
Don’t place too much certainty in what you see in this world because things are usually not what they seem. There are many more forces at play in the shadows, manipulating events and people to achieve their own goals.
In a world of thick darkness, we need to rely on the Holy Spirit in us to bear witness to the truth and lead us by His supernatural peace. He is our guide through life, and using God’s word, He shines a lamp before us so that we can continue walking forward.
We walk by faith, not by sight. No matter how convincing man is, always run it by God, and seek His counsel. Pray often and ask for His wisdom. I know that He will help you make the best decisions for your situation!
